Case Study: "Take Your Parent FROM Work Day" – Redefining Work-Life Balance

The Idea

As a member of Notarize's "Notarize Parents" Employee Resource Group, I helped reimagine the traditional "Take Your Child to Work Day" with a fresh and much-needed twist: "Take Your Parent FROM Work Day." Designed to give parents a break after two years of balancing remote work and family life during the pandemic, this initiative encouraged employees to log off early and spend quality time with their kids.

Bringing the Concept to Life

I collaborated with C-Suite leaders, including the CHRO, to gain buy-in and approval for the initiative, ensuring it aligned with company values and goals. Once approved, I developed social media content, internal messaging, and a post-event blog to celebrate the initiative. These efforts built excitement leading up to the event and captured the spirit of the day, ensuring it resonated with employees and external audiences alike. The blog highlighted employee experiences and cemented the program as a key moment in the company’s culture story.

The Social Media Campaign
I developed and launched a series of engaging posts across LinkedIn, Instagram, and other channels to promote "Take Your Parent FROM Work Day." The campaign celebrated the balance between work and family life with playful and relatable content, including:
